In a world full of noise, we need the steady, unchanging truth of Scripture. God has spoken, and His Word is our life. Scripture isn’t optional nourishment, it’s essential.
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
The Word of God is how He renews our minds (Romans 12:2), strengthens our faith (Romans 10:17), and equips us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Why We Should Understand the Bible as One Story
The Bible is not a scattered collection of inspirational passages, it is one unified story of God’s sovereign plan to redeem a people through Christ.
Jesus Himself taught this: “Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Luke 24:27)
Later He said, “These are my words… that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” (Luke 24:44)
From Genesis to Revelation, all of Scripture points to Christ. That’s why a chronological reading plan and a resource like Crossway’s One Story Bible are so helpful, they help us see the storyline of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration unfold as God intended.
Why We Want to Read Together
The Christian life is not meant to be solitary. Reading Scripture together strengthens unity, discipleship, and fellowship.
The early church devoted themselves together to the apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:42).
Paul urges believers to “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… teaching and admonishing one another” (Colossians 3:16).
When we read the same passages at the same time, conversation deepens. We grow in the same truths. We encourage one another. And we glorify God together.
