Pastor Craig was called by Swamp to be its pastor in 2017. He’s a perpetual student of theology with a heart for culture. He applies his unapologetic Christian worldview to all situations in a way that is humble, sincere yet surprisingly attractive. New Christians and new church members often comment that they appreciate that he’s the same guy on Saturday night as he is on Sunday morning.

Pastor Craig was born and grew up outside of St Louis. He became a Christian through faith in Christ at an early age. He attended Southern Illinois University and went into business sales. He met his future wife, Diana, while she was in her senior year of college also in St Louis and two years later they were married.

They have two children, Luke and James, and two boxers who think they are human children too.

In his early 20s the Lord called Craig to get serious about Him and Craig committed to not just worshiping but also serving. The Lord used that time to grow Craig and to prepare him and Diana. He grew in his service and spiritual maturity and became a lay leader. Eventually, he experienced the call of God to go into full-time ministry and the church agreed. He went on staff at another church plant and began seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis.

After graduation in 2011 he became the associate pastor of Zion Evangelical in Millstadt, Illinois and was ordained in the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Churches. From there, he became the interim pastor and pastor of Christian Education at Center Grove PCA Church in Edwardsville Illinois before joining us in 2017.

When Pastor Craig is not serving at Swamp he enjoys being with his family, smoking meats, working with his hands, being outside, and serving the Denver fire company as a volunteer fire fighter and its chaplain.
